Our Purpose

Renewal Ministries exists to provide the Church of the Nazarene with an effective evangelistic agency provided by its evangelists to, with God’s help, renew hearts and revive churches. Nazarene Evangelists are God-called men and women who promote the saving grace of Jesus Christ as their life long calling.

Our evangelists are called for spiritual renew emphasis and revivals for local churches and districts. Most are itinerant and schedule such services through a given year. There are evangelists that are called by God to specialize in evangelism ministry to children, teens, family units and to music evangelism.

All with the purpose of leading people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Helping the local unified church to bless their community in bringing people to Jesus and to become Christlike disciples.

Ken Dove

Dr. Ken Dove

In October of 2023, Ken Dove was approved as the new coordinator for Renewal Ministries, previously called, Revivalism Ministries. He is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University with both a BA and MA degree. In 2012, he completed a Doctor of Ministry degree from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in Portland, Oregon. Ken pastored churches for seven years before entering the field of full-time evangelism in 1997.  He soon became the youngest Tenured evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene. Following eight years of traveling as an evangelist, Ken felt the need to be home more with his growing family and pastored three congregations before returning to itinerant evangelism in 2021. Ken has a burning passion for renewal in the church and for each believer to live a life totally dedicated to Christ. Ken continues to conduct revival meetings and camp meetings in addition to his responsibilities with Renewal Ministries and the general church.
