Rev. Trey and Candice Brooks

Trey and Candice Brooks are the Global Child Discipleship Advocate for the Church of the Nazarene, and they serve the USA/Canada Region as the Regional Child Discipleship Advocate.

In addition to these roles in the Church of the Nazarene, they serve as Co-Directors of Equip to Engage, a ministry that equips, encourages, and connects children’s leaders. They do this through SPARK, leadership retreats, weekend events, specialized resources, and speaking at children’s camps. Trey holds a B.A. in Theology and Ministry from Southern Nazarene University, a Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and is an Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene. Candice holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southern Nazarene University, is a licensed teacher, and is a Certified Story Trainer with Tell THE Story through the Church of the Nazarene.

Through Equip to Engage, Trey and Candice have served the Church of the Nazarene by leading General Assembly Kids 2023 and participating in PALCON Kids at Point Loma Nazarene University 2024 and Northwest Nazarene University 2025. In addition, they have led teams to write children and family resources for Half-Million Mobilization 2024, 2025, and 2026, as well as B.L.E.S.S. and BRING for the Church of the Nazarene USA/Canada, with more resources to come. They will also lead General Assembly Kids for the 31st General Assembly of the Church of the Nazarene in 2027. Together with their family, they enjoy speaking at children’s camps, children’s leadership gatherings, district training days, and serving the denomination in various ways. Trey and Candice have three children and live near Oklahoma City, OK.
